My Culture Shock Moment
I have had some great meals in Taiwan, but I have realized that generally a lot of restaurants have no love towards food. Putting over cooking food and presentation aside one of the big problems is ingredient. I think most restaurants tend to buy their produce from the same supplier, so many dishes end up tasting the same.
All washing machines out here use cold water to clean cloths, the only problem is it doesn’t really clean the clothes, especially if you have sweat patches under your shirt arms! Powders which says they can clean in cold water, it is complete bollocks you need warm water.
This is thoroughly irritating there are way too many scooters out here which spend most of their time been badly driven. They are also really noisy and more pollutive than a new car I recon. But the really annoying thing is everybody parks on the pavement so you have to walk in the road!
The really nice thing about Taiwan is that people are very nice and charming and Taipei has lots of character as a city!
